Worker dies in furnace explosion at Jain Resource Recycling

A 24-year-old worker was killed and several others injured after a furnace explosion at Jain Resource Recycling in the SIPCOT Industrial Estate, Gummidipoondi, in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruvallur district on July 14. 

Fire and rescue teams were deployed to control the blaze following the explosion, while police registered a case and initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident. Authorities are examining whether operational failures, equipment issues, or lapses in safety procedures contributed to the incident.
