The Material Recycling Association of India (MRAI), will organize the 4th International Business Summit (IBS 2026) on August 31 and September 1, 2026 at The Westin Hotel, Tokyo, Japan. This summit will serve as a timely platform for recyclers and supply chain stakeholders to engage on critical industry developments, according to the press statement from the MRAI. As India advances its agenda on energy transition, green metals, zero waste, and infrastructure development, IBS 2026 aims to facilitate high-impact engagements through policy dialogues and networking, enabling participants to explore partnerships, access new markets, and identify supply-chain opportunities, it read.
IBS 2026 is expected to bring together policymakers, industry leaders, and key stakeholders from across the global recycling ecosystem. The summit is expected to host over 1,000 delegates and more than 30 exhibitors, featuring high-level deliberations on global trade dynamics, sustainability, supply chain resilience, advanced technologies, and investment opportunities.
The two-day summit will include high-level panel discussions, technical sessions, market intelligence sharing, regulatory insights, and deliberations on global trade flows, supply chain resilience, and investment opportunities in recycling infrastructure.
The MRAI statement says that this edition will place a special focus on metals and critical minerals recycling, alongside discussions on Indo-Japan trade relations, decarbonization strategies, critical mineral recovery, and green metals—further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
As per statement, the IBS 2026 will serve as a robust networking and business facilitation platform, enabling participants to build partnerships, collaborate, explore new markets, and strengthen global trade linkages.
The summit will further emphasize strengthening cooperation between India, South-East Asia, and global recycling stakeholders, focusing on circularity, resource efficiency, and long-term raw material security—key pillars for sustainable industrial development.
