Ehfaaz and its Food IS NOT Waste programme have been featured in the United Arab Emirates’ Third Voluntary National Review 2026.

The report was officially presented during the United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development at United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The national report documents the role of Ehfaaz in recovering food and organic waste at the point of generation. The programme works with hospitality businesses, corporate organisations and institutions to divert waste from landfill and return it to productive use through circular recovery solutions such as animal feed and compost.

According to the report, the programme has processed more than 1.1 million kg of food waste. It has also avoided more than 2.9 million kg of CO₂e emissions through landfill diversion and circular recovery. 

The report references W2ZOP and ReVive, the technology platforms used by Ehfaaz to track material flows, verify recovery volumes and support ESG-aligned impact reporting. It also reflects the role of education, partnerships and cross-sector collaboration in supporting the Food IS NOT Waste programme.
