Bariq for Techno and Advanced Industries being the first & biggest rPET Bottle to Bottle recycler in MENA Region, is a subsidiary of INTRO Resource Recovery (IRR) the multidisciplinary waste management company specialized in circularity, neutrality and high efficiency.  IRR is part of INTRO GROUP, the proven successful conglomerate within the region. Bariq has already recycled 17 billion plastic bottles with almost fully traced sourcing material from diverse markets & geographies, which is equivalent to the production of 140,000 tons of food grade pellets and 300,000 tons of CO2 emissions offsetting, marking a major contribution in Plastic Neutrality & Climate Protection. Bariq is supported with this traceability feature through the system & software of “Dawar”* provided by its sister TECH company “Environ Services” providing high advanced AI technology. During 2023, Bariq (Egypt & KSA) production output capacity reached 70,000 tons Food Grade QPET on annualized basis which highlights almost 5 times growth year over year compared to 2022.

Not to mention that Bariq leadership is based and supported by being in line with the needs of the global players in the packaging industry including most of the global brand owners since we are 100% complying with almost all Global Certifications including but not limited to: USFDA, EFSA, Health Canada, EU CertPlast and  EU Reach.

During 2023, Bariq provided 60% more job vacancies in the Egyptian market to cover for its huge capacity expansion, participated in TWO of the biggest plastic recycling shows as “Exhibitors” in PRSE as well as PRSMEA which counts for 50% increase in International Exhibitions Presence along with Sponsorship activities and considerable presence in Industry Experts Talks and Panels. In addition, a new sustainability dimension has been added to our Sustainability Function being the Ocean-Bound Plastic , became BCorp Certified as well as publishing Bariq Sustainability Report.
