
Recycling company Gravita India Limited (Gravita) has announced the launch of its state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery recycling plant in Mundra, Gujarat, with an annual capacity of 6,000 tonnes. The company has invested around Rs. 14 crores for the procurement and commissioning of the recycling plant.
The company seeks to ensure the safe and sustainable recycling of lithium-ion batteries, reducing environmental impact, and conserving precious resources. It has also invested in technology to improve the efficiency and scalability of the recycling process, ensuring that toxic chemicals and waste are minimized. This venture is part of Gravita’s commitment to promoting a circular economy by reusing valuable materials and reducing the dependency on mining for raw materials.
