Creating a circular economy for plastics in Saudi Arabia
Join us for an exceptional gathering of industry leaders, policymakers, innovators, and sustainability advocates as we delve into the critical topic of achieving plastics circularity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This workshop, organised by Waste & Recycling magazine, in association with Masab Plastic Factory Co, aims to foster collaboration, share knowledge, and inspire action towards closing the loop on plastics.
About the Workshop
As part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, the nation is committed to building a sustainable and diversified economy. Achieving plastic circularity is a pivotal aspect of this vision.
The country has pledged to invest 100 billion Saudi Riyals by 2035 to divert more than 90% of the total waste generated away from landfills, providing a framework for both private and public entities to establish recycling projects in the country. With the ambitious targets set by the Saudi Green Initiative, the opportunities to improve this rate are ripe.
This workshop aims to pave the way for innovative solutions and collaborative efforts towards achieving plastic circularity in KSA, by bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise from across the region.
